The practical 4-litre aluminium bags are easy to fill and suitable for pasteurisation (optional), freezing and reheating later. To feed the colostrum, simply screw the included teat or tube onto the bag. This ensures a quick and efficient good start for your calves.

Feeding calves in the first days of life — even immediately after birth — is of crucial importance for their health and further development. The first milk — better known as colostrum — contains a significantly higher concentration of immunoglobulins and nutrients than regular cow’s milk. It is important that the newborn calf immediately receives a generous amount of this high-quality colostrum. This can be colostrum from your own cows or a ready-to-use solution such as Excellent Colostrum (IBR-free) for calves.

We recommend always keeping a supply of frozen colostrum on hand. This ensures you have access to high-quality first milk at any time. If the quality of the colostrum after birth proves to be insufficient (for example in heifers) or if too little is produced, you can fall back on this frozen supply.
