The unique action of Biopect is due to the combination of pectins, electrolytes and glucose. The product contains no antibiotics or chemical substances, making it a safe choice for your animals.

How does Biopect work?
The main ingredient, pectins, forms a protective layer on the inside of the intestines. This prevents harmful bacteria from attaching and causing diarrhoea. These bacteria are then expelled, allowing the intestinal flora to recover.

Electrolytes help replenish the loss of fluids and salts, which is crucial during diarrhoea to prevent dehydration. Glucose promotes the absorption of electrolytes and serves as an energy source for weakened animals.

When to use Biopect?

• In cases of digestive problems due to the transition from cow’s milk to milk replacer.
• In cases of stress caused by relocation or transport of calves.
• When introducing new calves to the farm.
• In cases of other irregularities in digestion.

Application and dosage

• Dosage: 1 gram per kilogram of body weight, twice daily for 3 to 5 days. For preventive use, the dosage can be halved.
• Administration: Dissolve Biopect in milk or water and administer to the animal within 10 to 15 minutes.
• Result: In most cases, improvement occurs within 24 hours. For a full recovery of intestinal function, a course of 3 to 5 days is recommended.
